When in NOLA: Eat, Drank, Repeat!

Okay SO..New Orleans is definitely one of my favorite cities to visit. From the delicious fresh seafood, to the strong drinks– it’s impossible to have a bad time here! Whether you’re on the way to Essence Festival, or just plotting a squad trip– keep my favs in mind once you touch down!

Bourbon House– I’m definitely going to mention oysters at just about every place because why NOT? Oysters are my fav and NOLA is the place to get them so definitely check this place out for some yummy charbroiled & super fresh raw oysters!

Big Easy Daiquiri– Daiquiris are a staple in NOLA and this place was one of my favs. The flavors are yummy (190 Antifreeze, pina colada, strawberry) and STRONG. I love how you can walk around the city with them. Also, this place randomly has bomb pizza so check that out too!

Dragos– This place is known for the Charbroiled oysters—so you most definitely have to try them here. I also loveeee the fried gator bites. Sidenote: I didn’t care for the entrees.

Oceana Grill– This place totally comes off like your typical chain restauraunt BUT don’t be fooled– the food & dranks are delicious! Blackened gator bites, Fried seafood platter (fried catfish, fried oysters, fried shrimp) tropical storm drink–bomb and strong! A must!

Red Fish GrillBBQ OYSTER POBOY! Listen….as random as this sounds…its legit the best oysters I’ve had (next to charbroiled of course) deff take a trip here & try this!

Cafe Negril on Frenchman— Dope late night spot with live music and BOMB TACOS (Rubens taco truck!) legit some of the best tacos I’ve ever had!!

The Crazy Lobster– Yummy seafood buckets & oysters of course.

Victory– Dope bar, good music, and bomb speciality drinks! (Bare Necessities pictured)

Basin– Crawfish mac & cheese and oyster poboy—bomb! Cute area too for walking around after.

*BONUS*

A few fun gems I discovered on my past trips. Definitely worth checking out too!

  1. LIVENOLA— local boutique on canal street with the high end designers, I love the setup and the staff is very nice!
  2. Funky Monkey— local vintage store with an array of unique pieces, I got some really cute glasses here!

I hope the city of NOLA brings you as much joy as it brings me! Where are your favorite places to go? Did you get a chance to visit any of these? Let me know in the comments section below! 🙂
